I was wondering what kind of bankroll most of you use when going into a video poker session?
In his book, Million Dollar Video Poker, Bob Dancer says you need 3 to 5 times the amount of the royal flush in order to play safely forever. Therefore, for a quarter machine, you'd need between $3000 and $5000. That's a little too rich for my blood. I just usually scrounge together whatever I can, but I was wondering if anyone out there used a more scientific approach? |

Bob Dancer's method is probably pretty legitimate, mathematically, even if he pretends that it isn't. He probably just didn't feel like explaining it in his book. (Which was pretty interesting by the way.)
I play a little bit of poker, and I always try to avoid buying in for more than 5% of my total bankroll. |
