On a $10 DDB machine, I got dealt a K-Q-J-9-2 of hearts. I wanted peoples opinions on whether they would go for the royal or the straight flush. Thanks.

Go for the royal on 4 cards, not three, when you have such a good chance to get the straight flush. If you didn't have that 9 of hearts, it would be an easy decision to go for the royal. Even though another heart would give up a flush.

The correct play would be to hold the flush that you were given. In the long run, you'll lose more often than not if you try to draw to an inside straight flush.

I couldn't resist going for the royal, though the chances of hitting it are only a little over 2%. We all want to hit the royal flush, though.

2%.
Wow. It doesn't seem so bad until you actually see it written like that. 2%.
