Default Hitting a Royal Flush

My quest continues to hit the elusive Royal Flush. I wanted to throw this out there and see what everyone thought. On a Jacks or Better, if on every hand I hold only the best Royal Flush cards and ignore all others, would that help my chances?

For example, I get a Jack Suited, Queen Suited, 10 Suited, 10 10, but throw away the two non-suited 10s. I would be throwing away a 3 of a kind, but would this increase my chances of hitting a Royal Flush?

What does everyone think? Remember, I'm not trying to make money with this strategy, just hit a Royal Flush (as I know it would ultimately be a losing proposition).

That would increase your chances of hitting a Royal Flush certainly, but it wouldn't maximize your payback percentage.

Any particular reason why you'd want to bypass other winning opportunites just to get the elusive RF? Is it just because you've never got one, or is this just a hypothetical situation?

You know, I've read about people who do follow this strategy. There's a lot of endorphins involved in winning big jackpots. They say the effect is similar to a drug, in terms of how addictive it is. I'll let you know how I feel when I get my first royal flush.
