A friend of mine told me about this and I thought I would ask for opinions. He was recently playing at Texas Station and inserted his card. He expected to get the usual $15 to $20 in play through credit. Instead, he got $500 in XPC.
What the hell was up with this?

The amount of play through you (or your friend) gets depends on your level of play over the preceeding months (usually three). On Friday, the XPC amount is not revealed by the casino. Many casinos will send you mailers that tempt you with "mystery" freeplay days. These are ofen touted as being up to $500 in value, but they are usually more like $20. But you can get lucky from time to time.

The most I ever got was $45. Still, that's better than nothing.
