Default Question about Progressive Meters

On a recent trip to Laughlin, I played several games of Progressive Royals. Here are a few questions. I would appreciate it if someone could help me with these:

1. On the games I played, the meter increased 1 cent per each dollar played and each 5 dollars played. What is the range of progressive rates available?

2. Does the meter increase only when the max coin is played?

3. There seemed to be more "playable" progressives this time around in Laughlin. Has anyone else noticed such a trend anywhere else?

I don't know the answer to #1, but I can comment on the other two...

2. I believe that it increase regardless of the amount played.

3. Not to my knowledge. I was in Reno recently and didn't notice any difference.
