Will Online Gambling Ban be Lifted?

As reported by Reuters: "House Financial Services Committee Chairman Barney Frank on Wednesday said he will introduce a bill this week to lift a ban on online gambling.

"...Frank, a Massachusetts Democrat, said he will introduce the legislation on Thursday.

"Internet gambling in the United States was effectively banned last October when President George W. Bush signed legislation outlawing gaming financial transactions..."


Thank God for Barney Frank. He doesn't take any crap of of anybody. Let's just hope those crazy crackers don't try to weasel out of this one.

I read today where all the major sports leagues came out and supported the continuation of the ban.

I hear they are trying to pass a bill that will regulate and make online poker legal in the state of California. I guess thats some sort of positive start.
