The owner of a popular Spartanburg newsstand was arrested Tuesday after state agents seized video poker machines from his business.
Mark Wesley Gilstrap, who operates A-1 Newsstand at 291 Magnolia St., was charged with possession of illegal coin-operated machines and keeping a gaming house. Gilstrap, 35, of 6861 Reidville Road was released from the Spartanburg County Detention Facility under a public recognizance bond, a jail spokeswoman said.
