I used to know of a site which allowed you to practice various types of video poker. You made up the hand and then the program would recommend which cards to get rid of. I thought it was extremely helpful.
I can't find that site any more, but I did want to suggest some software which works the same way. It's called Optimum Video Poker, and it's available for Windows and Mac. You can enter a hand, analyze it, and then change whatever cards you want to.It also has different bankroll features. You can get it for a low as $20 on some sites.

There's something like that on (among others I suspect):
http://www.videopokertools.com/ I haven't tried Optimum (or Frugal) video poker yet, but so far I'm a fan of WinPoker and Video Poker Strategy Master, both available from http://www.zamzone.com (no affiliation) If anyone knows of any open source options, I'd be interested. --Havspace |
