Took my wife to the Beau Rivage for a couple of days of rest. I have been in a terrible slump the last month. Won a couple of back-to-back $1,250s about two months ago at the Hard Rock in Tampa, but since then nothing. I had only been in the Casino about 15 minutes when I hit a $4,000 Royal. I haven't seen one of those for about two years. When they bought me the money I joked with the girl that I was going to get another one. Ten minutes later, I hit another $4,000 Royal. Man what a day.. The next day I decided to go over to the Isle of Capri as they have some 9/6 Jacks or Better. I started out playing quarters and in about 20 minutes I hit a $1,000 Royal. I laughed it off and went to another machine and started with $1s. I'll be damned if I didn't hit another $4,000 Royal. I was stunned... $13,000 in two days. Sounds like a story, but it happened. By the way, I bought a Lotto ticket on the way home, but I didn't win!

Wow! What a great story.
Nice to hear of someone actually winning. Any idea what the odds would be of hitting all those royals? I'm amazed that you didn't win the lotto. Keep us posted on any other amazing wins.

The odds of getting a Royal on the first hand are supposed to be about 40,000 to one. All my Royals came on the second hand. The first one I held two cards and the last one I had 4 already. The odds are supposed to be the same on each hand, but 4 in 24 hours is ridiculous. I have been watching my play closely since I returned and it's amazing how many times you get within one card. Frankly, I am surprised that we don't hit more often. By the way, I practice using Bob Dancer's Winpoker software on my computer for at least 10 hours a week, but I was really lucky that trip.
