Bad Attitude at Tropicana !!
I was at Tropicana today to play a little VP, have lunch and wrap up my few days in AC. I was going to use the Casino Player Funbook coupon for a buy 1, get 1 free buffet. When lunchtime came around, I found out that the buffet was closed. A security guard told me to go to the Seaside restaurant to see if they would honor the coupon. At the restaurant, the hostess told me it was no good but to go to the player's club to see what amount they might be willing to allow me toward my 2 lunches (Mrs. & me) since the buffet was closed. The person at the slot club said rudely (in hard to understand English) that the coupon was no good. No apology for the buffet being closed, no apology for my inconvenience. I explained that we were leaving AC today & probably wouldn't be back for another year. Still a very rudely put "coupon no good."
The same thing happened last year at the Taj. The buffet was closed but there I was allowed to use my coupon for a buy 1, get 1 entree free at one of their restaurants WITH an apology that the buffet was closed. Guess where I'm going next trip, with or without a coupon. For any Tropicana executives reading this-give your personnel some people skills training! I can accept that they would not honor my coupon. It was the attitude that pi**ed me off. Anyway, the VP was fun & I had a couple of decent hits.
