As reported by the Philadelphia Inquirer: "For all the appeal that Atlantic City may have for gamblers as a beach destination, the resort town has one chronic flaw: Every year, summer ends.

"But Harrah's Atlantic City - located near Absecon Inlet, along with casino neighbors Borgata and Trump Marina - hopes to hold onto at least the illusion of lazy, hazy days for the entire year with a new indoor swimming-pool complex that's been wistfully christened "Endless Summer."

"Harrah's debuted its $28 million, 172,000-square foot splash attraction late last month. It features a half-acre oval-shaped swimming pool under a 90-foot glass dome, plus an Elizabeth Arden Red Door Spa. Other amenities include six Jacuzzis, a dozen cabanas, indoor and outdoor deck areas for lounging and sunbathing, and a pool bar. Food can be ordered off a room-service menu.

"Planners have aimed to achieve a tropical ambience, and Harrah's invested $1 million worth of landscaping in the attempt. Scores of palms, ranging from 17 to 45 feet tall, have been planted around the pool, including 20 towering Washingtonia palm trees, along with ficus, white birds of paradise and bamboo..."
