I recently returned from Vegas. I hit a straight flush as a 25 cent machine (no quads). Yay!
I also wanted to pass on this tip: Always take a look at the VP machines that you're playing. At the Plaza, I was playing what I thought was a 9/6 $1 Jacks machine. Turns out that the Royal with 5 coins only pays $2,500! At the Riviera, I thought I was playing 8/5 Bonus Poker, but then I noticed that there were no bonuses for any of the quads.
It was called Bonus Poker, but it was actually 8/5 Jacks.
Learn from my mistake. Pay close attention to the machines.
