Default Pausing between hands

Anyone ever experimented with pausing between hands at video poker. When I'm doing well and win say 5 or 6 hands in a row playing quickly followed by 1 or 2 losing hands I will pause just a few seconds to let the machine shuffle the cards and resume play. My hope is that since the machine is suppose to shuffle the cards until you hit the deal button , when i resume play I will continue my winning streak of winning more hands than not . It has been my experiance that after the machine experiances a hot streak of 5-10 hands the next 5-10 hands are worse. That's the thinking. Make any sense? Obviously I don't know when to stop or start back up. I just feel i want to do something to keep the machine hot . And i have had some success. I won close to 300 dollars on my recent trip at the dollar level 9/6 Jacks or better. Put around 6000 dollars through the machine so i played a lot. I have in the past before they started using tickets to pay you taken 100 coins and ran my credits up to 500 credits at which point the machine starts spitting out coins over 500 credits since thats all the hopper use to hold. I read about pausing years ago. No proof was given as to it's effectiveness.
